gorgeous delicate light, always perfect in the morning. it's 0530 here, still pitch dark and wonder how it'll be in an hour. it poured with rain all night, still raining now, so i don't think it's going to be pretty.
These are gorgeous! I wish I was good at keeping house plants..
Eliza - This was actually a morning after rain! We just don't get rain all that often, it's such a rare gift.Barbara - I used to be a plant killer. I've managed well with succulents though. It seems to help that I only choose plants that I LOVE. I can't get a plant just to fill a space, I have to love it. I take so much delight these days in tending to them.
BEAUTIFUL M! BEAUTIFUL!Have I told you lately how GOOD it is to see you taking joy in photography again? I know you're toting your camera these days, more often than not. So good to see you simply catching light whenever you see it.That's how making is supposed to be -- joyful, fun, curious. So proud of you.As always.xx
Humpf. I have a rock garden. Two died last week. How did you reform into a green thumb?
Jenna - I chose a plant I REALLY loved. It helped that it was rather hardy, though I didn't know that at the time, but I loved it. Any other plant I'd had before was either a space filler or a gift. It sounds weird, but I think just loving it was the trick.
