Across the Universe

I watched Across the Universe last night and fell in love with it. I know I'm a little late in seeing it (I wish I had seen it in the theater) but life has just been so busy lately I have found it hard to have time for anything. If you haven't seen this movie, you definitely have to (I would watch it again tonight, and tomorrow night). Stick through the first twenty minutes or so since it is a slow start, although I probably don't even need to tell you that since the music alone is enthralling enough to keep you hooked (whether or not the plot went anywhere). I love the way it is shot, especially during the "A Little Help from my Friends" scene and the opening scene of Jude on his own.

Yes, I think I will watch it again tonight. I always walk with a slight spring in my step after seeing a musical, though I won't go as far coreographing my moves. Wouldn't you love to be free to break out in song at any given time?

I think watching this movie last night inspired me to play a bit for the kids I work with at the library and I (and hopefully they) are thoroughly enjoying it.

I sure wish life was a musical.

I have seen the movie 7 or 8 times already, i own the movie, the soundtract and the poster. I actually just watched it again Friday night with some friends. Adia sings pretty much every song in it,(makes her mama proud) Walking in the grocery store yesterday she was singing 'Come Together' and a man laughed as he walked by, she said he laughed cause she sang it so good.
I see no problem with bursting out in song at any given time, life would be so boring if we didnt.
I am glad you finally got to watch it. If you ever want someone to watch it with let me know, i'm game.
