My manifesto in photos

I'm taking an online course called Persisting Souls. A recent discussion was on writing your own manifesto. I sat down dutifully and started to write. After a few minutes of frustration and realizing that these words meant nothing to me, and were actually quite contrived, I decided to take a different approach.

I'm not a wordsmith. I've never been good at putting into words exactly how I feel. I find it difficult at times to even write these short blog posts. So... why would I write in words my manifesto?

I feel much more comfortable speaking in images which is obviously fitting since I'm a photographer! The obvious thing to do is put together a self portrait manifesto. I'm not going to interpret the photos for you. I'm not going to clutter the images with words. Hopefully, hopefully they can speak for themselves.

Feeling slightly exposed...

it is as if this series of images pull the dawn behind you when you wash your dreams out of your dress and morph into flight. A pure sacrament that leaves me feeling so alert and imaginative and mysteriously ‘tugged at’ …and honored to bear witness to.

thankyou dear poet girl

What a glorious way to write your own manifesto! Feeling moved as I look at them, and honored to see .. possibly more so than if it were a written manifesto, which I find so fascinating.
