Woolly Nelson

Formally known as Billy Bob.

Every morning I wake up to his obnoxious braying. I love it though, I love it that he loves me. Actually, he hee-haws every time I set foot out that door. I know you can't see him too well, but I had to take this from my deck (and on my little P&S camera so there is no zoom).

I'll post some photos later.

Does anyone know if a donkey can hiccup? I know that they can't throw-up, so I assumed no hiccuping. Woolly is doing something that sounds/looks awfully like hiccuping. Weird.

PS... I just have to add that yes my backyard is a complete mess, but I am still living in somewhat of a construction zone.  This fall I am starting in on making it a proper backyard!  Oh the ideas I have!

I have no idea what I am looking at, but the sounds, oh golly the sounds.

I think my favorite part is your giggle.

GREAT to hear your voice! :)

So, hiccupping (although i've never seen it in equids) i believe to be very possible since it's basically just a spasm of the diaphragm. poor dude! tell him to hold his breath and swallow 7 times ;)

Heheee... yeah, I definitely need to post some photos! The only time I had ever heard a donkey hee-haw, before getting Woolly, was in cartoons or movies. It's so much more guttural and crude. It was shocking!
